Five Checks For A Written Dental Treatment Plan
Before you book, check whether the written plan identifies the teeth, proposed procedures, materials, fee scope and appointment arrangements. These five checks help expose missing information and decisions that still depend on examination. Ask the clinician to explain the treatment recommendation, not just the quoted total.

The factors to consider when choosing a dental clinic in Turkey are the dentist’s role, the written plan, and what is clear before you travel. A useful plan names the dentist, the treatment and the fee row. What varies is which clinician is responsible, which treatment the examination supports, and which line on the price list matches that treatment. This page is that checklist. It is not a league table of clinics.
Who Is Responsible For The Plan
The plan should name the clinician responsible for assessment and the proposed procedure. Ask who will review changes and explain alternatives. The guide to matching the dentist’s role to the procedure explains the credential and responsibility questions in more detail.
The Five-Point Written-Plan Checklist
- Teeth And Purpose: Which teeth are being treated, and what problem is the plan intended to address?
- Procedures And Alternatives: Which restorations or supporting treatments are proposed, why, and what alternatives were discussed?
- Materials And Components: Which restoration material or implant components are named, and what is still subject to assessment?
- Fees And Exclusions: Which unit or package row applies, what is included, and what clinical or travel services are separate?
- Visits And Follow-Up: Who provides the treatment, which appointments are planned, and who should you contact afterwards?
If one field is missing, ask for clarification before making arrangements. Keep the accepted version and request a revised plan if examination changes it. A complete document helps you understand the proposal; it does not replace clinical assessment.

Before You Travel
Verify the clinic identity and the address where the appointments will take place. The clinic identity and visit-address checks answer that separate question.
Before you book travel you cannot change, four points should be in writing: the dentist, the treatment, the fee row, and the clinic you will attend. A fifth point sits beside them: what the examination can still change. If that fifth point is blank, the first four may look firmer than they are.
- 01Name The DentistAsk who will examine you and who will carry out the treatment. Keep both names if they are not the same person.
- 02Name The TreatmentThe note should say the procedure, and the material or tooth count when those details change the fee.
- 03Name The Fee RowMatch the quote to a price-list line. Ask what that line includes and what is quoted separately.
- 04Name The ClinicThe city and the building should be on the note. “Turkey” alone does not say where you will be treated.
Which Clinic You Will Attend
HCT sees patients at the HCT clinics in Antalya and Istanbul. Those are different buildings. A plan that does not say which one you are expected to attend has not finished the travel part of this checklist. The same applies to any other clinic: the address, or the city and the clinic name, belongs on the note before you book a flight that you cannot change.
What To Send Before You Travel
Send clear photographs of your smile, any recent radiographs you already have, the medicines you take, and a short note of what you want to change. That packet lets a dentist draft a provisional reply. It is not an examination, and it does not prove that every clinic you write to is suitable. Tell the clinic about conditions that affect healing, including pregnancy if it applies, before dates are fixed.
Hotel nights, airport transfers and flights are not a treatment fee row. If a reply includes them, they should be listed as their own lines, not folded into a tooth price so the row looks smaller. Keep refundable travel until the three clinical lines, the clinic name and the open points are in writing.

What Can Still Change
A plan made from photographs can change when the dentist sees you. The bite, the bone, the gum and the health of each tooth are not all visible in a smile photograph. Treat the first written note as provisional until that examination has happened, and until you have agreed the updated note.
Photographs Are Not The Plan
A shade guide, a mock-up or a photograph of someone else’s smile is a talking point. It does not name your dentist, your treatment or your fee row. An illustrative picture on this page is not your result and not your quote. Ask the reply to separate what is already known from what the clinic examination still has to decide.
If The Treatment Or The Fee Changes
The examination can add a step, change the material, or show that a tooth should be treated differently from the first reply. UK guidance says patients should be told at once if the treatment plan changes, and given an updated version in writing. Ask for that updated note before treatment starts, including a revised fee row if the cost has changed. Do not treat a verbal “it will be about the same” as the update.
The number of days and the course of healing depend on the mouth in the chair and on the plan you agree. Judge a reply by whether it names the dentist, the treatment and the fee row. A slogan in place of those five-points does not answer this checklist.

If you ask HCT for a plan, the reply should still follow this checklist. Naming the clinic is not the same as naming the dentist. Your note should say who will examine you and who will carry out the treatment, together with the fee row that matches it.

Questions Before You Choose A Clinic
What Should A Written Dental Plan Name?
The dentist who will treat you, the treatment that is proposed, and the fee row on the price list. A single number in a message, with none of those three, is not that plan.
Who Counts As The Named Dentist?
The clinician who examines you and is responsible for the treatment. A coordinator can arrange the dates. The coordinator’s name does not replace the dentist’s name.
What Does A Fee Row Include?
The name of the price-list line and what that line includes. If the material or the number of teeth changes the fee, the plan should say so. A figure with no row name does not say which treatment you are being offered.
What Should Be Clear Before I Book Travel?
The dentist, the treatment, the fee row, the clinic you will attend, and what the examination can still change. Keep travel that you cannot change until those points are in writing.
Are Photographs Enough To Choose A Clinic?
No. Photographs can start the conversation. They do not show the bite, the bone or the health of each tooth. A reply based only on photographs is provisional.
Can The Examination Change The Fee?

Does A Lower Price Mean A Clearer Plan?
No. Compare plans that name the same treatment and the same kind of fee row. A lower number that omits the dentist, the treatment or the row cannot be compared with a plan that includes them.

Yes. A plan that says only “Turkey” does not say which clinic you will attend. The address, or the city and the clinic name, should be on the note before you book travel.
