All-On-4 Dental Implants In Turkey

All-on-4 dental implants hold a full arch of fixed teeth on four implants in each jaw. At HCT the both-jaws package is £5,980 for both treatment visits, with eight Neodent or Osstem implants, the abutments and connecting parts, and 24 zirconia teeth. The abutments and connecting parts are not a separate fee. Extractions, medicines, temporary teeth, airport transfers and a hotel with breakfast are included. A bone graft, a sinus lift or a different implant brand is quoted only if your CT scan shows you need it.

All-on-4 is a fixed full-arch treatment for people who have lost most or all of their teeth, or whose remaining teeth cannot be kept. Four implants in a jaw hold one bridge. This page explains how the tilted implants work, who they can help, how the two visits are organised, what healing involves, and what the HCT package includes. Comparing every full-mouth option belongs on the full mouth implant packages page. The number of implants you need is decided on your CT scan, not from a photograph.

For fixed hybrid bridges versus snap-on and conventional dentures, see fixed full-arch implants vs removable dentures.

01

What All-On-4 Dental Implants Are

All-on-4 replaces a whole arch with a fixed bridge on four implants. It is used when tooth decay, gum disease or bone loss has left too few teeth to save, and when a removable denture is loose or uncomfortable. The bridge stays in. You do not take it out to clean it.

How The Back Implants Are Placed

The two implants at the front of the jaw are placed upright. The two at the back are tilted, commonly by about 30 to 45 degrees, so they can use bone that is still present and stay clear of the sinus in the upper jaw or the nerve canal in the lower jaw. That tilt is why many patients avoid a graft. It does not remove the need for a scan: if the bone cannot hold four implants safely, the plan changes.

A conventional approach would place an implant for each missing tooth. All-on-4 uses fewer implants and one bridge per jaw, so the surgery is smaller than a full set of individual implants. It is still an operation, with swelling, a healing period and the risks described below.

All-On-4 And A Loose Denture

A denture rests on the gum and can rock when you eat or speak. An All-on-4 bridge is screwed to the implants, so it does not lift when you bite. During healing you wear temporary teeth, which may be fixed or removable depending on how stable the implants are on the day and what the surgeon advises. The final zirconia teeth are fitted on the second visit.

All-On-4 Package Price

This is the named All-on-4 offer and its own scope. The full-mouth implant package comparison explains the other published package and shared inclusions. Here the main question is how this method is assessed, placed and maintained.

The All-on-4 package at HCT is £5,980 for both jaws and both treatment visits. That total includes eight Neodent or Osstem implants, the abutments and connecting parts, and 24 final zirconia teeth. The abutments and connecting parts are not a separate fee. It is not a per-jaw starting price, and it is not the cost of the implants without the teeth.

Separate Charges, Only If Needed

  • Bone graft£130 if the scan shows you need more bone. See bone grafting before implants.
  • Sinus lift£380 if the upper back jaw needs more bone height. See sinus lift treatment.
  • Implant brand upgradeNeodent or Osstem is included. A different brand is quoted separately and is not calculated by adding a unit fee to £5,980.

If the scan shows that six implants per jaw are a better support for your bite, the All-on-6 package is £6,480 for both jaws and both visits. That comparison, including who each option suits, is in the All-on-4 and All-on-6 comparison. One jaw only, All-on-8, zygomatic implants and same-day teeth are quoted after assessment. They are not worked out by splitting £5,980.

03

Who All-On-4 Suits

All-on-4 is considered when most teeth in a jaw are missing or failing, and a fixed bridge would restore chewing more securely than a denture. Suitability is a clinical decision after the CT scan and a medical history. It is not decided from the number of missing teeth alone.

When All-On-4 Is Considered

  • Most teeth are beyond savingDecay or gum disease has left too few firm teeth to support crowns.
  • A denture is looseThe denture moves when you eat or speak, and you want a fixed bridge.
  • Several extractions are neededTeeth that cannot be kept are removed in the same surgical visit as the implants.
  • Bone is thin at the backTilted implants can often use the bone that remains, so a graft is not the first step.

When A Different Plan Is Safer

  • A heavy bite or grindingSix implants per jaw may share the load better. Read about All-on-6 dental implants.
  • Dense bone and a strong biteAll-on-8 is considered when the bone can hold more implants. It is quoted on request.
  • Very little upper boneIf four tilted implants still cannot be placed safely, zygomatic implants are a separate operation, priced per implant.
  • Active infection or uncontrolled illnessInfection is treated first. Uncontrolled diabetes or heavy smoking can delay healing and may change the plan.

The US Food and Drug Administration’s guide to dental implants describes who may be considered and which risks to discuss. The link is in Medical Sources And References below. Your own dentist, or the HCT surgeon who examines you, confirms whether All-on-4 is appropriate before you book flights.

How The All-On-4 Procedure Works

All-on-4 at HCT is planned as two visits, about three to six months apart. The implants and temporary teeth are provided on the first visit. The final zirconia teeth are fitted on the second visit.

Before You Travel

The free consultation starts from photographs of your teeth and any recent X-ray. The clinic replies with a preliminary plan and the £5,980 package, and flags extras that the photos suggest. Nothing is final until the CT scan in Antalya or Istanbul. If you want to know how the main implant designs differ before that conversation, the types of dental implants guide sets them out. Practical ways to prepare for the operation are in preparing for implant surgery.

The First Visit

You are collected from the airport. At the clinic the surgeon examines you and takes a 3D CT scan and a panoramic X-ray. The scan shows bone height, the sinus and the nerve, and it decides whether four implants can be placed or whether a graft, a sinus lift or a different implant count is safer. The final quote is written before surgery.

On the day of surgery the area is numbed with local anaesthetic, which is how NHS implant leaflets describe the procedure. You may feel pressure. Tell the surgeon if you feel pain. Teeth that cannot be kept are removed in the same session. Four implants are placed in each jaw being treated, with the back pair tilted. Temporary teeth are fitted before you fly home. A fixed temporary bridge on the same day is possible only when the implants are stable enough and there is no active infection. That option is a separate clinical decision and is quoted on request; the page for it is same-day implants.

Healing Between Visits

Over the next three to six months the bone bonds to the titanium surface. You wear the temporary teeth and start with soft food so the implants are not overloaded. This bonding is why the final bridge waits for the second visit. A plain-language account of how an implant is held in the jaw is in how dental implants stay in place.

The Second Visit

The implants are checked. Impressions or scans are taken and the laboratory makes the zirconia bridge. It is tried in, the shade and the bite are adjusted, and it is screwed onto the implants. You leave with written cleaning instructions and the implant guarantee certificate. You cannot remove the final bridge yourself. A dentist can unscrew it for maintenance.

Risks Of All-On-4 Surgery

Implant surgery can cause bleeding, swelling, bruising, infection, and an implant that does not bond to the bone. The tilted position is chosen to reduce the chance of entering the sinus or injuring the nerve, but those injuries remain possible if the plan or the surgery is off. Later, bacteria can inflame the gum and bone around an implant. This is called peri-implantitis, and it is more likely with smoking, poor cleaning and a history of gum disease. NHS patient leaflets on bone grafting and sinus lifts, listed under Medical Sources And References, explain why those operations are used when the scan shows the bone is not enough. Ask for the written plan, the named implant brand and the name of the surgeon before you travel.

05

Healing And Aftercare

The first weeks protect the blood clot and the new implants. After that, cleaning under the bridge is what keeps All-on-4 healthy. You are given written instructions before you leave Turkey. Follow those if they differ from the general points below.

The First Weeks

What To DoWhy It Matters For All-on-4
Soft food at firstHard biting can disturb implants that have not yet bonded. Keep to soft food for about the first 10 days, then follow the clinic’s steps.
Cold compressShort periods of cold on the cheek in the first day limit swelling.
Head raised at nightSleeping slightly raised for the first few nights reduces swelling.
Medicines as prescribedTake antibiotics and pain relief exactly as written. Do not stop an antibiotic early because the soreness has eased.
No smokingSmoking slows bonding and raises the risk of infection. Stop for at least six weeks, and ideally stay stopped.
No alcohol at firstAvoid alcohol for at least two weeks, and while you are taking antibiotics.
Gentle cleaningFrom about day three, use a soft brush around the temporary teeth as you were shown.

Cleaning The Bridge

The final bridge is fixed, so food collects underneath it. Clean that surface every day with the brushes or water flosser you are shown. See a dentist or hygienist about every six months, and have an X-ray of the implants from the second year. Bleeding when you clean, swelling, a bad taste, or any movement of the teeth should be reported to your dentist and to the clinic. The day-by-day routine is in the implant aftercare guide.

A systematic review of implants followed for at least ten years reported survival above 90%. That figure is for dental implants in general. It is not a promise that every All-on-4 bridge lasts a set number of years. Survival depends on bone, general health, not smoking, and regular cleaning. The review is Moraschini and colleagues, International Journal of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, 2015.

Clinic, Surgeon And Patient Reviews

Ask who places the implants, which brand is in the quote, and which extras are excluded, before you compare prices. All-on-4 is surgery. A low figure that turns out to be one jaw, or implants without teeth, is a different offer from the £5,980 both-jaws package.

Frequently Asked Questions

What Is An All-On-4 Dental Implant?

All-on-4 holds a full arch of fixed teeth on four implants. The two implants at the back are tilted so they can use bone that is still present and stay clear of the sinus in the upper jaw or the nerve in the lower jaw. Four implants are used in each jaw that is treated. The HCT package treats both jaws.

How Much Does All-On-4 Cost At HCT?

The All-on-4 package is £5,980. That price is for both jaws and both treatment visits: eight Neodent or Osstem implants, the abutments and connecting parts, and 24 final zirconia teeth. The abutments and connecting parts are not a separate fee. It is not a price for one jaw, and it is not the fee for the implants without the teeth.

What Is Included In The All-On-4 Package?

The package includes the Neodent or Osstem implants, the abutments and connecting parts, and 24 zirconia teeth, the extractions needed for the plan, prescribed medicines, temporary teeth, airport transfers for both visits, and a hotel room with breakfast for 3 days on the first visit and 7 days on the second. The abutments and connecting parts are not a separate fee. The consultation, 3D CT scan and panoramic X-ray are free for implant patients. Temporary teeth may be fixed or removable. Seasonal flight support of up to £200 may apply; the written quote confirms the amount. A bone graft, a sinus lift and a different implant brand cost extra if you need them.

Is £5,980 The Price For One Jaw?

No. £5,980 is the total for both jaws and both visits. A plan for one jaw only is quoted after the CT scan. A per-jaw price is not calculated from this package.

Do I Need A Bone Graft Before All-On-4?

Not always. Tilting the back implants often avoids a graft when bone at the back of the jaw is thin. If the scan shows the bone is still too thin, a bone graft is £130 and a sinus lift is £380. Any extra is written into the plan before surgery.

How Many Trips To Turkey Does All-On-4 Take?

Usually two trips, about three to six months apart. The first visit is for the scan, implant surgery and temporary teeth. The second visit is for the final zirconia teeth. The hotel with breakfast covers 3 days on the first visit and 7 days on the second.

Can I Have Teeth On The Day Of All-On-4 Surgery?

Sometimes a temporary set can be fitted on the day of surgery, if the implants are stable enough and there is no active infection. The final zirconia teeth are fitted on the second visit. A same-day temporary bridge is decided on the CT scan and quoted separately.

How Long Is All-On-4 Healing?

The implants need about three to six months to bond with the bone before the final teeth take a full bite. Swelling and soreness for several days after surgery are expected and are managed with the medicines you are given. You wear temporary teeth during healing.

How Long Do All-On-4 Implants Last?

A systematic review of implants followed for at least ten years reported survival above 90%. That research covers dental implants in general, not a promise for one All-on-4 case. How long yours last depends on your bone, your general health, not smoking, and cleaning under the bridge. HCT provides a written lifetime guarantee certificate for the implants. That certificate is not a guarantee of a particular treatment result.

Are All-On-4 Implants Suitable If I Have Bone Loss?

Often they are, because the tilted back implants use the bone that remains. They are not suitable for every patient. Active infection, uncontrolled diabetes, or bone that cannot hold four tilted implants may mean a graft, a sinus lift, more implants, or a different plan. The CT scan decides.

Which Brands Are Used For All-On-4 At HCT?

The package uses Neodent or Osstem implants. Another brand is an upgrade and is quoted separately. It is not added to £5,980 by guesswork. The brand and the fee are named in the written quote.

Is All-On-4 Surgery Painful?

The surgery is done under local anaesthetic, which numbs the area. You may feel pressure. Tell the surgeon if you feel pain during the procedure. Soreness and swelling afterwards are normal for several days and are managed with prescribed medicines. This is not a promise of a painless operation.

How Is All-On-4 Different From All-On-6?

All-on-4 uses four implants in a jaw. All-on-6 uses six, which spreads the bite over more implants and is sometimes chosen for a heavy bite or grinding. All-on-6 for both jaws is £6,480 at HCT, with the same two visits and 24 zirconia teeth. The surgeon chooses the number from the CT scan.

Can I Have All-On-4 If I Smoke Or Have Diabetes?

Often yes, with conditions. Smoking slows healing, so you will be asked to stop around the surgery and for the weeks afterwards. Diabetes that is well controlled is usually not a barrier. Uncontrolled blood sugar needs medical care first. The surgeon reviews your medical history before planning treatment.
