The Ceramic Implant Fee

Two rows on the HCT price list are ceramic implants. Straumann Pure Ceramic is £880. Neodent Zirconia is £480. Both are ceramic implant rows; confirm their design and component scope in the written quote. Neither row is a finished tooth, and neither row is a full-arch package. A quote that names only one of these lines has not yet priced the crown.

Check both rows on the HCT dental price list before you compare a message that says “zirconium”. The same word is used for a ceramic fixture and for white teeth. The price list keeps them on different lines.

What The £880 And £480 Lines Include

Each ceramic row names the implant. The price list does not specify an abutment bundle for these rows; ask the written quote to identify the design and each included component. Consultation, a 3D CT or CBCT, and a panoramic radiograph are free for HCT implant patients. The scan is how the team decides whether a ceramic fixture is the line to use. It is not a promise that every request for a metal-free fixture ends on that row.

What Sits Outside Those Fees

The crown is quoted separately. This page does not add a crown price to £880 or £480, because that sum would be a new total the price list does not publish. Bone grafting is £130 when the site needs it. A sinus lift is £380 when an upper back site is too short. A simple extraction is £30 and a surgical extraction is £100. IV sedation is £230 a session if you and the surgeon agree to use it. Hotel nights, airport transfers and flights are not part of either ceramic line.

All-on-4 and All-on-6 are full-arch packages. The implants named in those packages are Neodent or Osstem. The 24 zirconia teeth are the teeth on the bridge. They are not Straumann Pure Ceramic fixtures, and they are not the Neodent Zirconia row repeated across the mouth. Multiplying £880 or £480 by the number of teeth does not produce those package totals. The package scope is on the full mouth implant packages page.

Straumann also lists metal implant lines. BLT is £630 and BLX is £730, each for the implant and abutment. Those are not the £880 ceramic row. The Straumann BLT and BLX lines are a brand page. This page is the ceramic fixture. A single tooth with the crown already included is a third scope, at £560, and the clinical offer for one gap is the single tooth implant treatment.

A Ceramic Fixture And Zirconia Teeth

Zirconia is a ceramic. An implant and a tooth can both be made from it, and they still do different jobs. The implant replaces the root, in the bone. The tooth is the part you see, fixed to that implant or to a bridge. A page, a quote, or a headline that uses one word for both will mix two fees.

The Fixture In The Bone

The ceramic implant is the screw-shaped fixture in the jaw. Over the following months the bone can hold it. That bond is osseointegration. It is not finished on the day of surgery. The abutment is the connector. On the HCT rows above, the abutment is inside the £880 or the £480. The crown is not.

Many zirconia implants have been made as one piece, so the part that meets the crown is already joined to the fixture and the angle is set when it is placed. Two-piece ceramic systems also exist. The written plan names which design is proposed. This page does not treat every ceramic fixture as one piece, and it does not treat a one-piece design as suitable for every gap.

A ceramic fixture is chosen when the plan is to avoid a titanium fixture. A documented sensitivity to a metal is one reason to have that conversation. It is not, by itself, proof that surgery should go ahead. The bone, the gum and the bite still decide. A white fixture may also be discussed where a dark metal edge might show through thin gum. That is a planning point. It does not remove the need to match the crown to the neighbouring teeth.

The Teeth On The Bridge

The 24 zirconia teeth in All-on-4 and All-on-6 are the visible teeth on a fixed bridge. All-on-4 uses 8 implants. All-on-6 uses 12. Those implants are the Neodent or Osstem fixtures named in the package, not a ceramic implant at every tooth position. Twenty-four white teeth do not mean twenty-four ceramic implants. The bridge can be zirconia while the fixtures in the bone are a different material and a different line on the price list.

Calling that bridge a zirconium implant treatment is the mix-up this page is here to stop. The package price, £5,980 or £6,480, is for both jaws and both visits, with those implant counts and those 24 teeth. It is not a discount on £880, and it is not a way of buying Pure Ceramic in bulk.

A Crown Is Not An Implant

A crown on one implant is the visible tooth for one gap. It can be zirconia. It is still a crown. The fee for the crown is not hiding inside the ceramic implant rows. A mouth of crowns or veneers, with no fixture in the bone, is a different treatment again. If the thing you want is the white tooth rather than a ceramic root, start from zirconia crowns and ask the reply which fee it is using.

The diagram at the top of this page shows the three parts beside natural teeth. It is a drawing. It is not a ceramic implant result, and the crown in the drawing is not evidence that £880 includes one.

Who A Ceramic Implant Suits

A ceramic implant is assessed one site at a time. Wanting a metal-free fixture is a reason to ask. It is not a plan. The scan, the gum, the bite and your medical history decide whether that fixture can be placed, and whether the crown can be made on it later.

Bone, The Sinus And Smoking

If the jaw at the gap is too narrow or too short, the surgeon may recommend a bone graft. The published graft fee is £130. Healing after a graft can mean the implant is placed later, not on the same day. An upper back tooth sits under the maxillary sinus. When that bone is too short, a sinus lift at £380 may be part of the plan. Neither fee is already inside £880 or £480.

Smoking is associated with a higher chance of healing problems around implants. It does not automatically exclude you, and it is not a reason for the clinic to describe the same course as for a non-smoker. Uncontrolled diabetes and some medicines also change the assessment. Tell the team before you book flights. The papers at the end of this page describe those factors in general. They do not set the HCT fee, and they do not predict one person's course.

A Full Arch Is A Different Plan

People ask for “zirconium implants” when they mean a white full smile. At HCT that smile, when it is a fixed bridge on several implants, is All-on-4 or All-on-6. The white part is the 24 zirconia teeth. The fixtures are the package implants. If you want the fixtures themselves to be ceramic, that is a different conversation, and the package total is not rewritten on this page by swapping in £480 or £880. A brand change is quoted after the assessment. This page does not invent that quote.

The Visits And The Healing Gap

The usual plan for one ceramic implant has two visits. The first is for assessment and placement, if the plan is agreed. The second is for the crown, after the clinician is satisfied the implant can be restored. The gap is often about 3–6 months. That range is a typical healing window, not a date the clinic can stamp on every case. A ceramic fixture does not skip the healing because the material is white.

Before You Travel

A preliminary reply from photographs is not the final plan. The free scan in the clinic can change the implant system, add a graft, or show that a ceramic fixture is not the right line. Book refundable travel until that is clear. Ask the written reply to name “Straumann Pure Ceramic, £880” or “Neodent Zirconia, £480”, identify the system design and components, and list the crown separately. A reply that only says “zirconium smile” has not answered the question.

The First Visit

The surgeon examines the gap, the bite and the scan, then confirms the system and the anaesthetic. Local anaesthetic is the usual approach. Sedation is a separate choice at the published session fee. It is not a general anaesthetic price. Placement is one surgical appointment. A straightforward site and a site that also needs an extraction are not the same operation, so this page does not promise a fixed number of minutes.

A temporary tooth on the day is possible only when the implant is stable and the bite allows it. That temporary is not the final crown. If stability is not there, the gap stays without a fixed tooth until the second visit, or a removable temporary is used. Leaving with a finished crown on the day of surgery is not the published plan for this line.

The Gap Between Visits

During healing the implant should not be loaded beyond what the surgeon allowed. You can usually fly home once the team has checked the site, following their written advice. The second trip is booked when the clinician says the crown can be made, not around a holiday that was chosen first. Hotel nights from a full-arch package are not included in the ceramic fee and do not transfer to this visit.

The Second Visit

The crown visit is records, a try-in when needed, and fitting. The bite is checked so the new tooth does not hit early. On a front tooth the colour is checked against the neighbours in daylight, not only under the surgery lamp. You should leave knowing how to clean the margin, which fee you have paid for the crown, and whom to contact if the tooth feels high or loose.

Recovery, Risks And Aftercare

Expect soreness, swelling and some bruising for a few days after placement. That is the usual early course. It is not a sign that the implant has failed, and it is not a description of the appointment as something you will not feel. Pain is managed with the local anaesthetic during surgery and with the medicines the surgeon prescribes afterwards.

The First Days

A ceramic fixture needs protection during early healing just as a titanium fixture does. Plan rest after placement, choose soft food and keep chewing pressure away from the site until the surgeon permits it. The colour of the implant does not make it ready for a final crown on the day. Follow the prescribed medicines and cleaning instructions and avoid smoking. Use the clinic number on your discharge sheet if bleeding does not slow, swelling continues to increase or you develop a fever.

Risks To Discuss

An implant can fail to bond with the bone. The gum can become inflamed. A crown can chip or loosen. Ceramic can also fracture. That fracture risk is a known technical concern with zirconia fixtures, which is why the design and the bite matter, and why a review of the material does not treat the evidence as finished. Nerves in the lower jaw can be irritated if the site is close to them. The scan is how that risk is judged before surgery. An upper back implant sits near the sinus, which is why a short bone is assessed for a lift rather than forced.

Published studies describe groups of patients. They do not give you a personal figure for your own case, and HCT does not print one on this page. A written document about an implant component, where a plan includes one, is not a promise that the crown, the gum or the bite will never need attention.

Care At Home

Clean the area as you were shown. A single crown still collects plaque at the gum, and the teeth next to it still need ordinary dentistry. HCT sees implant patients in Antalya and Istanbul. Your written plan should name the clinic, who places the fixture, and who fits the crown. A useful quote names the ceramic line or states that the plan is the full-arch package with zirconia teeth. A single number with the word zirconium in it is not that quote.
